Easy walk; continues walk through villages and rhododendron
forest. Some descend part of the hills. Not snow walking.
This exhilarating 8 -day trek allows us to take in some of
the most awe-inspiring landscape views of the Himalayan Mountains,
going through spectacular forested areas. Altitudes of 3210m
are reached, and anyone of a reasonable fitness level should
be able to comfortably complete this trek.
The journey commences in the ancient city of Kathmandu; from
Kathmandu we will board a bus to Pokhara for an overnight
stay. The treks begin in the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara,
from where we will take a short bus ride to Phedi village.
This is where the adventure really starts. Ascending along
the trail through a number of beautiful forest areas and enjoying
the spectacular views of the vast Himalayas, we can take delight
in the playfulness of the local Langure monkeys. On the way
you will visit famous Gurung village of Landruk (1650m) and
Ghandruk (1950m). Trekking west to Tadapani (2590m), we will
cross some of the most spectacular rhododendron forests in
Nepal. We will also be able to marvel at the gargantuan stature
of the fish tail shaped Mt. Machhapuchhare (6900m). Ascending
along the trail to Ghorepani, we will be able to appreciate
a magnitude of colorful orchids and admire clear views of
the towering expanse of Mt. Dhaulagiri I (8167m). The highlight
of this trek will be a visit to Poon Hill (3210m) from where
we will be able to see a spectacular sunrise over the whole
Himalayan range and surrounding rice terraces (a photographers
paradise!). From the scenic village of Tirkhedhunga, we will
be transported back to Pokhara enjoying our last views of
the majestic scenery.
